The Spartans entered into the conference match against the Cuyamaca College Coyotes undefeated.  Led by a strong defense and effective ball control MiraCosta dictated much of the game however after giving up a late goal, came up on the short end of 0-1 result. 

Goalie Oscar Sowell played ninety minutes and gave the Spartans a steady presence in goal.  Other Spartans that stood out were Joseph Kicko, Julio Sanchez and Emilio Bunnell with noticeable contributions.

After the loss MiraCosta falls to 2-1-2 in conference play but remains in striking distance of the top teams.  The Spartans continue their season on Tuesday at College of the Desert at 1pm.
