Matt Hall enters his third year as the MiraCosta College head women's soccer coach.  Prior to this he was an associate head coach for the San Diego State men's soccer team for seven years and coached the Aztecs for a total of 20 years. He received his USSF "A" license in 2009, and during his time at SDSU was named one of the the top collegeiate assistant coaches in the nation.

While coaching the Aztecs the teammade the NCAA tournament four times and 13 players were drafted into Major League Soccer.  SDSU also had two All-American selections, over fifteen All-Region selections, and had three players play for their respective National teams.  In addition, while Coach Hall was the Director of Recruiting, SDSU consistently had top-40 recruiting classes in NCAA D1 men's soccer.

As a club coach Hall has worked for several clubs in the San Diego area.  while with the San Diego Soccer Club he won multiple SDDA championships and received "Tom Male Olders Coach" for the club on two occasions.  In 2016 he returned to his hometown of Vista to become the Director of Coaching for the first club he played for as a youth, Vista Storm S.C.  Hall is still the D.O.C for Vista Storm where he also currently is coaching the 2004 girls team.

In addition to his role for the Vista Storm, Coach Hall is also an assistant coach for the San Diego Loyal, a professional team that competes in the USL Championship League.

Coach Hall currently resides in Rancho Bernardo with his wife Kelli, and his two daughters, Madden and Kenley.
