After a long drive out to Palm Desert the MiraCosta women's volleyball team found their rhythm in a 3-1 win over the College of the Desert Roadrunners.  The Spartans were led by Lana Salazar (11 kills), Claudia Mathews (nine kills) and Maddi Penrod (eight kills and five block assists.)  Leah McManus had a very efficient night with five kills on seven attempts.  Makayla Sua (six blocks) and Cady Francis (20 digs) headed up the defense.  Setter Cady Delay brought it all together with 30 assists.

The Spartans are now 17-2 and 2-0 in conference play and will return home on Wednesday October 19th for a 6pm start against San Bernardino Valley College.  MiraCosta is currently ranked #7 in the CCCAA State rankings.
