The MiraCosta women's volleyball team added two wins to its resume on Friday, extending the streak to eleven. The Spartans swept Chaffey College and East LA College in their first home matches.
Against Chaffey the Spartans hit a .345 as a team. Setters Andrianna Visesio (14) and Cady Delay (12) had a combined 26 assists. Middle blocker Makayla Sua had 11 kills hitting an astounding .733 clip and added three blocks. Claudia Mathews led with three service aces, had six kills on a .364 clip. Sophomore Roni Long chipped in six kills and Violeti Faleumu had four kills on a .429 clip. Madeleine Alper had nine digs and Lana Salazar added seven digs.
In their second match of the day against East LA College the Spartans were led by sophomore setter Cady Delay who dished out 17 assists while Andrianna Visesio contributed 10 assists. Lana Salazar had 10 kills (.286), Violeti Faleumu had nine (.350), and Makayla Sua had six with a .556 clip. Maile Sellers had three aces and seven digs.
The Spartans will take on College of the Canyons (14th in the state)
