The Spartans improve to 11-2 on the season with a road victory over San Diego Mesa College. MiraCosta started the match off on fire, winning the first set 25-15. In set 2, the Spartans gave up several early runs of points, they battled back late in the set, but eventually lost 20-25. In set 3, MiraCosta regained control of the match behind 7 kills from Cady Francis and Brianna Sizemore. In set 4, Jessica Zieg spent most of the set on the floor willing her way to 7 digs and helping close out the Mesa Olympians. 

Freshman setter Kylene Landenberger commanded the Spartan offense and set her way to 34 assists.  Freshman Cady Francis continued her strong play at outside hitter leading all attackers with 16 kills. Freshman Elayna Cramer had an efficient evening hitting  a solid .308. Sophomore libero Jessica Zieg had a day from the service line, serving 22 times, accumulating 6 aces. She had 14 digs on the night.

Next Wednesday the Spartans travel to Palomar College for a conference showdown. Match time is at 5pm.
