Streaking Spartans Win Again

The Spartans won their fourth straight match on Wednesday evening in a highly contested conference match up with San Diego City College. MiraCosta relied heavily on production from their very talented bench to come away with the victory. Sophomore outside hitter Brianna Sizemore and freshman Cady Francis helped jump start the offense, combining for 27 of MiraCosta's 51 kills. Madeline Sims continued her dominance at the middle position, contributing 8 kills, with an attacking efficiency of .467. At the other middle position freshman, Elayna Cramer put away 6 kills on 10 attempts, hitting a .300. Kyra Henderson, a sophomore defensive specialist, hustled her way to 11 digs, a career high. Towards the end of set 2, freshman setter Kylene Landenberger came in off the bench in relief and helped lead the Spartans to a set two victory. She ended the evening with 21 assists. Freshman Leah McManus turned in another solid performance with 4 kills on 6 attempts, a .500 attacking efficiency.
