The Spartans were up 2-0 in the match and led half way through set 3 before giving up a string of points and eventually losing set 3 by the score of 24-26. MiraCosta battled all night but could not sustain the momentum they had earlier in the match. Palomar put forth a great defensive effort and out lasted MiraCosta on the night.

Sophomore Brianna Sizemore led the way with a double-double, 16 kills and 10 digs, sophomore setter Jessica Zieg had 39 assists and 15 digs, freshman libero Cady Francis had 22 digs in the match, and freshman opposite Leah McManus off the bench attacked at a .600 efficiency.
