Spartans remain undefeated and in First Place of the conference standings

The Spartans remain undefeated while maintaining a clean sheet for six games. The Spartans played the Jaguars for the second time this season. Now playing at home the Spartans were able to dominate in possessions and the ability to switch the field through their center backs and midfielders, creating combination plays for several attacks forward.

Arely Sarabia was challenged but finished with five saves. Not only skilled with her hands, she also has shown the capability to use her foot skills to join the build-out and movement between each side of the field.

Spartan defenders continue to be dominant. The defensive line is versatile, being able to hold the Spartan's six-game shutout streak while also making a difference in the offensive plays. Freshman defender Marolyn Clark, scored her first colligate goal in the first half versus the Jaguars. Center back Aleah Minnich assisted Lissette Bahena also in the first half.

MiraCosta is next in action on Tuesday, at home versus San Diego City.
