SPARTANS END RIVALRY AGAINST JAGUARS

Both sides anticipated a tough battle between the Spartans and the Jaguars in the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference match on Tuesday. MiraCosta was ready to play showing grit, effort, and scoring two goals, one by Lena Bachman and other from Aleah Minnich

Early in the game, it was apparent that the Spartans wanted to get on the scoreboard. The first half showcased MiraCosta's ability to possess the ball and put pressure on Southwestern's defense. The centerbacks Aleah Minnich and Emily Rivera showed great composure, allowing connections throughout the field and ultimatley giving their teammates the chance to dominate on and off the ball.

Arely Sarabia played all ninety minutes for MiraCosta in goal, finishing with six saves.

The Spartans played with great intensity until the final whistle, which was the leading factor in the end result. MiraCosta didn't score in the second half, but had done enough to leave the field with a 2-1 win over the Jaguars, staying undefeated in the PCAC conference.
