Under the leadership of Coach Matt Hall the MiraCosta women's soccer program has reached new heights and accomplished a number of program records.  The Spartans finished their regular season with an overal record of 15-4-2 and a conference record of 12-1-1, good enough for a second place finish in the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference.  The overall and conference records are both the best win percentage of any MiraCosta women's soccer team.

Their regular season success earned them a the #12 seed in the CCCAA state tournament, where they played host to El Camino College. The seed was also the highest in history for MiraCosta women's soccer.  The Spartans battled the Warriors for 90 minutes and then two 15 minute overtimes only to go to penalty kicks after being tied 2-2.  In penalty kicks MiraCosta came up short, 7-6, and ended their historic season.

The Spartans' season wasn't always smooth sailing, losing a number of key players to injuries early in the season.  However, the depth of roster and a resilient mindset, kept this Spartan team moving forward.  At one point, MiraCosta was undefeated in 14 consecutive games.  The final active roster was led by incredible sophomore leadership.  Sophomores included Casey Martinez, Katy King, Mandy Lara, Giselle Garcia, Monse Ayala, Karla Gonzalez, Alondra Herrera, Tatiana Correia, Mak Arnone, and Brian Van Slyke.  The freshmen on the roster made their impact as well Jordan Fawcett finished with 14 points, two goals and 10 assists. Madisyn Roney finshed with 10 points, four goals and two assists. Goalkeeper Tristyn Wright had a strong year as a freshman, finishing with 14 shutouts on the season.

The team received a number of all-conference honors.  Casey Martinez was voted the PCAC Defensive Player of the Year.   Katy King, Tatiana Correia, Mandy Lara, Mak Arnone and Jordan Fawcett all were named to the PCAC All-Conference team.
