With today's win the MiraCosta women's soccer team set a program record for the most consecutive wins. Today's 4-1 victory over Palomar College increases the streak to seven wins in a row and an overall record of 8-7-1.
Goals were scored by Valerie Mathys, Esmeralda Rodriguez, Bianca Gastelum and Peyton Brittain. The Spartans weathered the physical play of the Comets and controlled most of the ninety minutes.
Tuesday MiraCosta will host College of the Desert at 3pm for a conference game and Sophomore recognition day.
