On Friday the women's soccer team at MiraCosta College hosted a talented Mt. San Jacinto College team.  The Spartans proved for ninety minutes that they can play with the top teams in the conference, finishing with a 0-0 tie.  The MiraCosta defense held the Eagles scoreless and Vanessa Llamas provided a strong anchor for the Spartans in the goal.

MiraCosta had opportunities on the offensive end but were unable to put one in the back of the net.  The Spartans had shot attempts by Esmeralda Rodriguez, Valerie Mathys, and Bianca Gastelum.

MiraCosta is next in action at home on Tuesday, October 4th, at 3:15pm where they will play the Jets from San Diego Miramar College.
