The MiraCosta women's basketball team went on the road to take on Grossmont College on Friday. After 40 minutes the Spartans won by a final score of 75-39 improving them to 17-5 and 9-0 in conference play.

Julia Iman led all scorers with 17 points.  MiraCosta also got strong contributions from Savannah Beasley, Chynna Cochran, Madison Rowe, Emmy Wiemann and Kiva Reyes.

In the most recent coaches poll the Spartans were ranked #15 in the state.  MiraCosta has three games left in conference play with a great opportunity to win a conference championship, something that hasn't been done for over 40 years.
