The MiraCosta women's basketball team entered their game with Mt. San Jacinto with an overall record of 14-3 and seven straight wins.  Mt. San Jacinto, the 2nd ranked team in the state, proved to be enough to end the win streak despite some impressive shooting by Breanna Morales and Britney Jarvis. Combined the two gaurds finished the game shooting 50% from the 3-point line, much of the reason that the Spartans were able to compete well with the Eagles through the first three quarters.

Morales finished with 24 points and seven rebounds and Jarvis added 18 points and six rebounds. Sophomore forward Colleen Murphy added nine points and four rebounds.

The Spartans are next in action on Wednesday at San Bernardino Valley College at 5PM.
