Spartans Finish Off Imperial Valley

The Lady Spartans bounced back in the consolation bracket with a convincing win over Imperial Valley College.  Fueled by six players in double digit scoring, including Ayli Tulberg's 18 points and 11 assists, MiraCosta scored a season high 86 points. 

After a competitve first quarter the Spartans pulled away with more than twenty points in each of the next three quarters while holding their opponents to 20 points total over the same time period.  

Teya Searles scored 13 points but also added 15 rebounds three assists and three steals.  Other Spartans in double digit scoring include Camille Blaye cook (12), Colleen Murphy (12), Angelyna Rivera-Cantrel (12) and Helena Betancourt (11).  Danielle Bosley returned to the court after missing a game, scoring eight points and six rebounds.  

The Spartans will play tomorrow for the consolation championship at 10am at San Diego City College.
