Spartans Finish Strong Against The Comets

Every time the MiraCosta Spartans play cross-town rival Palomar College, it's a big game.  This men's soccer game was no exception. The two teams played an even first half, both with chances to score but unable to put the ball in the back of the net. In the 68th minute the Comets scored first only to give up back to back goals to the Spartans in the 73rd and 76th minute.  The MiraCosta win is significant for many reasons including conference standings and future recruiting ramifications.

Spartan goals were scored by Gabe Quesada (assisted by Ricardo Gonzalez and Darion Mealing) and Cheyne Hausmaninger (assisted by Dagoberto Dominguez).  The win improves the MiraCosta men's soccer team to 6-5-3 and 3-2-1 in conference and are tied for 2nd place with six games remaining in conference play.
