In a single non-conference game the Spartans travelled to Rio Hondo College on Thursday.  Despite being on the road MiraCosta's offense was very efficient making 42% of their shot attempts and committing only eight turnovers.  The Spartans were led by Brady Twombly (La Costa Canyon High School/ Northern Arizona University) who caught fire and finished the night with 21 points.  Twombly made seven total three-point shots and was 7-12 from the floor overall. 

Freshman Austin Bryant (Murietta Valley High School/ Portland State University), MiraCosta's leading scorer, added 17 points and Daymarcco Green scored 16 points. Isaiah Reed (Vista High School) brought production off the bench with 13 points, five rebounds and two steals.

The Spartans will play Cuyamaca College Friday and then travel to the El Camino College Tournament November 17-19.
