Despite a very sloppy first ten minutes the MiraCosta Spartans took the lead late in the game against San Diego City College.  The Spartans were ignited by the hot shooting of Cody Hicks who finished with 25 points (5-7 from behind the 3 point line.)  MiraCosta (8-9) has steadily improved throughout the year however tonight couldn't overcome the twenty three turnovers that they committed as a team.   The Spartans lost a heart breaking game by the final score of 65-68 after leading in the last few minutes.

The Spartans are home on Friday versus Imperial Valley at 7pm and then begin their conference schedule next week on Wednesday.
