The MiraCosta College men's basketball team held on for a 58-55 win over Cerritos College to run their streak to three.  They also won the championship of the Don Gehler Memorial Basketball tournament hosted by Miramar College.

In the tournament the Spartans beat Santa Ana College, Rio Hondo College and Cerritos College.  MiraCosta demonstrated great depth and a well balanced attack but had special performances from freshman Aashad Womack and sophomore Buddha Boyd.  Womack was named MVP of the tournament and Boyd was named to the All-Tournament team.

The Spartans next game is Saturday at home at 3:30pm against Rio Hondo College.
