Saturday at MiraCosta College the men's basketball team walked away with their fourth win and remain undefeated.  The Spartans played a strong first half and went into halftime with a sixteen point lead. In the second half Rio Hondo College fought back within one point of a tie but couldn't overcome the halftime lead, leaving the Spartans with the victory.

Buddha Boyd led the Spartans in scoring with 21 points.  Aashad Womack and Travell Hector contributed 12 points and 10 points respectively.  The Spartans shot 79% as a team from the free throw line, which was one important factor to the victory.

The Spartans open their next tournament on Thursday at El Camino College against Fresno City College at 5pm.
