In a Pacific Coast Athletic Conference game the MiraCosta men's basketball team broke their scoring record for the year in a 98-88 victory.  The sophomores led the way fueled by Buddha Boyd's career high 40 point night.  Travell Hector (17) and Tristan Neihart (12) also made strong contributions in the win.  Freshman Aashad Womack also added 16 points. 

The Spartans continue their conference stretch next week with games against Mt. San Jacinto (Wednesday - 5PM) and Grossmont College (Friday - 5PM).  With a strong week the Spartans can still finish second in what is the state's 2nd toughest conference.
