On Friday the weather didn't cooperate, but the student-athletes showed their grit and played the matches anyways. The Spartans earned a 5-0 win over Mt. San Jacinto and lost a competitive 4-1 result to San Diego Mesa. In the 4's flight Alexis Jones and Ana Lara won both of their matches. MiraCosta won the third and deciding game in three flights against Mt. San Jacinto, completing a challenging sweep of the Eagles.
With the win the Spartans improve to 12-9 overall, and 7-3 in conference play. This week MiraCosta has a bye, before traveling to Grossmont College on Friday April 19th for the last round of conference play.
