In the final week of the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference schedule the women's beach volleyball team at MiraCosta College secured the championship in convincing fashion.  The Spartans, who improve to 18-2 and a perfect 12-0 in conference play, swept Palomar College 5-0 and beat El Camino College by a 4-1 score on their home sand at Frazee Beach in Carlsbad California.

Strong play from Alysia Baker and Lana Salazar helped build momentum for the other duos.  Kerena Madon returned to the court to pair with Cady Francis in the 1's flight. Another standout duo on the day was all freshmen pair Claire Kinder and Chloe Tripp.  Kinder and Tripp were functioning on all cylinders and continue to improve each week.

The Spartans will travel to the PCAC Individual Tournament next Friday at Granada Beach in Long Beach and then will host the first round of the CCCAA State Playoffs on Tuesday May 2nd at 10am.
