Fueled by a 26 point fourth quarter and the scoring of Deyjanae Williams, the MiraCosta women's basketball team overcame an early deficit to beat Imperial Valley College 67-64.  Williams led the Spartans in scoring with 21 points, scoring 15 in the 4th quarter.  Allie Lorton and Reina Alamillo added 15 and 9 points respectively.  When Alamillo entered the game her all around effort and energy changed the momentum of the game.

Early in the game Imperial Valley had control of the game, making eight three point shots in the first half.  Slowly but surely, the Spartans closed the gap and eventually took the lead.  Important points by Williams, Lorton, Alamillo Syme're Shelton and Frida Caballero Helped the Spartans escape with the win.

MiraCosta has now won six in a row and is undefeated in conference play leading up to Friday's match up with Palomar College. MiraCosta will host that game at 6PM.
