Shelton's Big Game Finishes Santa Ana

In the second round of the Santa Ana College women's basketball tournament, sophomore guard Symere Shelton was locked in.  After forty minutes of play she finished with 18 points six rebounds and five assists.  

The game was tied at 24 after two quarters of play but the Spartans kept executing and managed to outscore their opponents in the third and fourth quarter, winning by a final score of 55-49.  

Deyjanae Williams finished with 15 points and eight rebounds while Yasi Sharpe led the Spartans in rebounds with 14.  MiraCosta outrebounded the Dons by a wide margin, 55-29.

With the win the Spartans advance to the finals of the tournament where they will face Riverside City College.
