MiraCosta Men's Soccer Remains Unbeaten

On Saturday the Spartan men's soccer team hosted Rio Hondo for what is always a highly competitive match. This year was no different as the team played 90 minutes plus extra time and ended in a 0-0 draw.

With the tie MiraCosta improves to 1-0-3 and is one of just seven colleges in the southern region that is still undefeated.  Freshman goalkeeper Jeshua Lombana played a full 90 minutes and was credited with nine saves.  Late in the game the Spartans created a strong oppotunity that left Jose Aguirre with an open run to the goal, but the goalkeeper made a big play that left MiraCosta without a goal.

The Spartans are next in action on Tuesday at Mt. San Antonio College for a 6PM kickoff.
