In one of the last weeks of the season the MiraCosta men's basketball team earned a draw and a win. On Tuesday the Spartans travled to Southwestern College and finished with a 1-1 tie. Freshman Michael Ahumada scored the only MiraCosta goal to take a 1-0 lead. Southwestern College answered with a goal of their own and despite strong opportunities, the Spartans couldn't find the net again.

On Friday MiraCosta returned home to take on San Diego City College.  The Spartans came out on fire scoring two goals in the first half. In the 8th minute Jose Aguirre scored an unassisted goal to take a 1-0 lead.  In the 24th minute sophomore Bryan Sahagun scored a beautiful goal assisted by David Guzman.  After half time the Spartans kept the pressure on when David Garcia scored their third goal. Garcia's goal was unassisted. Southwestern College scored a late goal but the 3-1 lead was strong enough for MiraCosta to hold and and earn the victory.

The Spartans will play their last game of the season on Tuesday at 3PM at MiraCosta College.
