It was Coach Rylee Arispe's birthday, and her team gave her a wonderful present, a 3-0 sweep of conference foe, San Diego City College. In the quick match the Spartans were on the attack.  Sophomore setter Quinn Curran finished with 32 assists, most to the the Spartans' two hottest hitters, Alexis Jones and Daysha Halbert.

Halbert finished with 14 kills, hitting an impressive .520.  Jones earned 11 kills with .360.  Ana Lara and Hazel Veteto finished with six and five kills respectively.  

Defensively Jones carried most of the weight, digging 17 balls on the night.  Libero Lacey Garcia finished added ten digs for the Spartans.

MiraCosta is next in action on Friday at home for a 1pm match against non-conference opponent, Moorpark College.
