The Spartan roster boasts sophomores Hazel Veteto, Ryanne Davis, Eden Thomas, and Mia Bustamante.  The first three all return from playing in 2023, but Bustamante's last participation was more than a year ago. Newcomers Daysha Halbert, Jennifer Reece, Eesha Chun-Dela Cruz, Cameron-Jade Caimpon, Tera Thompson, Maia Busto, Alexis Jones, Ana Lara, Eli Zdravecky, Riana Nystrom, and Sarah Campo-Sanchez all bring something different to the roster. 

The MiraCosta women's volleyball team finished with a clean 3-0 sweep over the visiting Friends University Junior Varasity team.  The Spartans were led by a balanced offensive attack including Daysha Halbert, Ana Lara, Alexis Jones, and Eesha Chun-Dela Cruz.  Setters Cameron-Jade Caimpon and Eden Thomas distributed the ball to their hitters, while MiraCosta comfortably won all three games.

The Spartans roster has grown quickly over the last few weeks, as Coach Rylee Arispe is slowly intergrating new players into the system.  MiraCosta expects to have a more complete look at the roster once everyone is cleared and practicing consistently. 

"We are excited about the job that Coach Arispe has done recruiting," said athletic director Pat Conahan.  "In just a short time, she has brought in a tremendous roster that we are excited to watch play this season."

The Spartans are next in action on Wednesday at Irvine Valley College at 6:00 pm.
