The MiraCosta College women's volleyball team is on a roll.  The Spartans have won seven games in a row without losing a set, and have won 10 out of their last 11 games, including a sweep of ranked Grossmont College.

To open their November schedule the Spartans took on conference opponent San Diego City and non-conference foe, Mt. San Jacinto.  In the first game of the week the Spartans took on the Knights and won in three games. Madison Nichols led the way with 10 kills but Makayla Hicks added five kills on eight swings and added three block and an ace.  The setter duo of Giulia Cefalu and Summer Hoslett added a combined 29 assists. Hoslett also led the Spartans with 11 digs.

In the second match of the week the Spartans took on Mt. San Jacinto, a game rescheduled from earlier in the season.  The Eagles hold the top spot in their conference and were competitive in all three games but they couldn't slow down the Spartans. MiraCosta won the match 25-21, 25-17, 25-21 to win their 16th match of the year.  With an overall record of 16-4 MiraCosta currently holds the #16 ranking in the state.

The Spartans are next in action in a huge match on Friday at San Diego Mesa.  The game will have conference championship implications as well as an impact on playoff seeding.
