The MiraCosta College women's volleyball team continued its win streak last night after a 3-0 sweep at Grossmont College.  The game featured two teams ranked in the top 15 in the state and was competitive despite the 3-0 finish.  Final set scores were 26-24, 25-18, and 27-25. MiraCosta had a balanced offensive attack featuring Violet Faleumu (nine kills) Reilly Bosworth (seven kills), and Claire Kinder (seven kills).  Hayley Huntsman had a double-double with 28 assists, 14 digs and five kills.

In the match MiraCosta averaged 12 kills and 17 digs per set and had a total of seven aces and five blocks.

The Spartans improve their overall record to 24-6, having won their last 17 game and 21 out of their last 23.  MiraCosta, currently ranked #8 in the state and #5 in the South, will open the CCCAA state playoffs on Tuesday at home at 7PM.
