SPARTANS DOMINATE GRIFFINS&D REMAIN UNDEFEATED IN THE CONFERENCE

The heat was turned up as soon as the first whistle was blown.  Four minutes in, Julisa Pena assisted Elisa Dunn, left back, in her first collegiate goal. Elisa Dunn went on to be the woman of the match with two assists and three goals. 

 

Roselyn Hernandez followed that up just eight mins later from a driven cross by Maroyln Clark. Araceli Mejia continued the scoring spree with her first collegiate goal in the twenty-eighth minute. The Spartans finished off the first half with a 5-0 lead, goals by Lissette Bahena and Elisa Dunn, with assists from Eleanor Asfour and Elisa Dunn

 

Starting off the second half heads high, right off the back another was goal from Lissette Bahena with an assist from Emily Rivera. Elisa Dunn with unfinished business goes in for her second goal of the evening, receiving a ball from Lena Bachman with a simple volley into the back of the net. The Spartans did not lay off the pressure, with Lena Bachman scoring with another assist by Elisa Dunn. Giving the fans one more reason to cheer, in the ninetyth Roselyn Hernandez scored with an assist from Jazmyne Arispe. The Spartans left the field undefeated in conference with a 9-0 win. The Spartans will be back on their home field on Tuesday, September 26th.
