MiraCosta Earns Draw with #5 Olympians

On Friday the MiraCosta women's soccer team traveled to Mesa College for a conference match that paired the top two teams in the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference.  After 90 minutes the Spartans earned a tie against the #5 ranked team in the state of California. 

The match saw both team have opportunities but at the end of the day neither team could finish the play. Sophomore goalkeeper Mia Bochis recorded the shutout to improve MiraCosta's record to 11-2-6 overall and 9-1-3 in conference.  The Spartans are currently ranked 19th in the RPI and there are 19 teams that earn bids into the CCCAA state playoffs.

MiraCosta is next in action on Friday on the road at Cuyamaca at 1PM.
