Lady Spartans Send Eagles Home With Shutout

Jordan Heatherly on the way to attempting to score.

On Friday the MiraCosta women's soccer team played some of their best soccer of the year sending Mt. San Jacinto College home with a 4-0 loss. The win avenges a September loss to the Eagles that took place at Mt. San Jacinto College in Menifee, California.  The Spartans combined the defensive shutout with one of their most potent offensive outings, having four different players score goals.  Jasmin Tua started the scoring flurry in the 15th minute followed by Jordan Heatherly (56th minute), Alexus Beaz-Pecoraro (63rd minute), and finally with the Spartans' final goal by Jasmin Velasquez in the 70th minute.

Goalkeeper Mia Bochis recorded the shutout with the help of her strong defensive line.

The Spartans are next in action on Tuesday at home against Miramar College at 3PM.
