The MiraCosta athletic department was excited to celebrate the groundbreaking of the new soccer facility.  The renovation project will allow for construction of a new soccer field along with a new Field Hourse (2,100 square feet) that will provide room for a team room, changing rooms, an office, equipment storage and new ADA-compliant restrooms. 

The soccer field will extend one and a half times the size of an international soccer field to allow for flexible use and potentially more than one event at a time.  The field will be used for the intercollegiate soccer programs, the intramural sports program as well as the rugby club teams.

The project is set to include a number of sustainable strategies and should be completed and ready for competition before the Fall of 2020.
