Clayton Announces Commitment to Play Soccer at Concordia University - Portland

Coach Frank Zimmerman and the MiraCosta College athletic department are excited to share news that sophomore goalkeeper, Andrew Clayton, has announced his commitment to play soccer and continue his education at Concordia University - Portland.  When he arrives Clayton plans to study Exercise and Sport Science.

Concordia University competes in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference, an NCAA Division 2.

Playing in 19 games as in the fall, starting 18 of them, Clayton finished with 83 saves and six shutouts.  He led the Spartan defense that won or tied six of their last eight games, including a convincing 2-1 victory over the first place team in the conference. Clayton came to MiraCosta from Chapparral High School in Temecula California.
