Pat Conahan enters his 12th year as the athletic director and his 26th year associated with MiraCosta College. He started as a student-athlete playing for the men's basketball team under the guidance of Hall of Fame coach Clete Adelman. Conahan later returned to MiraCosta and spent five years as an assistant men's basketball coach before eventually taking over the program in 2005. He spent 12 years as the head men's basketball coach before stepping away from that position in the sping 2018.
