COACH JOHN SEELEY

A true legend in MiraCosta College athletics and a coach whose leadership, character, and unwavering dedication shaped generations of student-athletes. The late John Seeley served as the head baseball coach at MiraCosta College for more than two decades, leaving an indelible mark on the program and the lives of those he coached.

In 1975, Coach Seeley led the Spartan baseball team to their first—and only— State Championship, a milestone that still stands as a testament to his coaching excellence. But his influence reached far beyond wins and titles. He was a mentor and a role model, known for instilling values of discipline, perseverance, and integrity—both on and off the field.

Over his storied career, Coach Seeley's teams achieved:
