Until he retired in 2005, Coach Adelman was the single driving force that built and maintained MiraCosta Basketball for twenty seven years. He is known absolutely and in every sense as a teacher of the game.

Although having had opportunities to coach at higher levels, Coach Adelman's decision to stay at MiraCosta College allowed him to be a dedicated father and husband along with his coaching and teaching.  Adelman, the self-proclaimed "Bald Eagle of Oceanside," continues to impact the basketball community by acting as a mentor and advisor for coaches all over the nation.
