The Spartans entered the game undefeated but couldn't hold on to secure their fifth win of the season. MiraCosta (4-1) dropped the match 0-3 with final game scores reflecting how close the match was (24-26, 24-26, 15-25). Depite not playing their best, the Spartans managed to only lose the first two games by a combined four points. Halie Hess and Hayley Torres led the way with 12 and 11 kills respectively. Kacy Hele passed for 27 assists and added five digs. The defense was achored by Hanley Lomax, Felicity So'oto, Hess and Torres who combined for 31 digs.
After a short break the team will return to the court on Wednesday, September 12th at El Camino College for a 6PM match.
