Long Drive Worth It, MiraCosta Beats Desert

Spartan soccer player dribbles ball.

After the long drive to College of the Desert the MiraCosta women's soccer team came home with what they wanted, a win.  The final score was 2-1 with goals by Isabella Rivera and Jenna Heatherly. With the win the Spartans earn their way into a three way tie for 2nd place in the conference.  MiraCosta also maintains the 16th position in the power points.  If the team can maintain the position over the next two games they will earn a berth into the CCCAA state playoffs which will start the following week.

The Spartans are undefeated in their last four games and have only one loss in their last nine contests.  MiraCosta's remaining games are against the top team in the conference, San Bernardino Valley, on Tuesday and Mt. San Jacinto College on Friday.  Friday's game will kick off at 3pm and will be sophomore day.
