Spartans Win Important Game at Miramar

The MiraCosta women's soccer team has quietly positioned themselves for a great chance at a post season run.  With a 1-0 at Miramar College on Friday the team improves their overall record to 10-6-1 and no moves to within a half game of second place in the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference. The Spartans entered the game in the 13th position for the CCCAA power point rankings which determines state playoff bids.  Coach Miguel Barragan knew that this game with the Miramar Jets was critiical to maintaining the power point position and cotinuing to grow confidence as a team.  The Spartans stepped up to the challenge getting the victory led by Alina Ozuna's goal, assisted by Aloni Seilor.  

With just four games left in the conference schedule the Spartans will host cross-town rival Palomar College on Tuesday, October 31st, at 3pm.
