The Pacific Coast Athletic Conference post-season honors for women's basketball have been released and MiraCosta is the headliner. After their 12-0 undefeated conference championship a number of awards were awarded to the Spartans including MVP, 1st Team, 2nd Team and Coach of the Year.
Sophomore guard Julia Iman was named the conference MVP. Iman averaged 14 point, six rebounds and six assists per game.
Sophomore guards Chynna Cochran and Savannah Beasley were named to the All-Conference First Team. Cochran leads the team in scoring with 18 points per game and has also been a force on the defensive end. Beasley averaged nine points and seven rebounds per game but also did many of the intangbiles that made the Spartans so successful. Freshman Emmy Wiemann was named to the All-Conference Second Team.
First year head coach Laurie Byrd was voted the Coach of the Year in the conference.
