After two quarters in Saturday's game, the Spartans had a small lead but it was still anyone's game to win. In the third quarter MiraCosta erupted for 29 points while holding San Bernardino to only eight points, extending their lead and taking control of the game. The Spartans also outscored San Bernardino 22-16 in the fourth quarter to win the game by a final score of 76-47.
Chynna Cochran led the way with 21 points. Savannah Beasley filled the boxscore 17 points and had seven steals and four rebounds. Kiva Reyes, Julia Iman and Emmy Wiemann added 11, 10 and eight points respectively. Weimann also added 14 rebounds and two assists.
With the win MiraCosta improves to 8-3 and will play their next game on Wednesday December 18th at Mt. San Jacinto College at 5PM.
