Coming off an impressive win against Antelope Valley College the Spartans were confident, but despite a number of opportunities to score they couldn't put the ball in the net.  After 90 minutes of play, MiraCosta finished the match in a 0-0 draw with Consumnes River College from Sacramento.

In the 21st minute the Hawks had an opportunity to score but Seth Ketterer came up with an important save.  In the 47th minute MiraCosta scored but had it called back because of an off-sides call.

In the second half Lucca Mina's impact was obvious.  In the 62nd minute Mina made a great run on his own and nearly scored.  Later in the 83rd minute Mina was on the attack and served a ball for coutryman Julio Costa who shot but missed the goal.

Late in the second half the Spartans kept the pressure on with multiple attacks but came up empty.  With the draw MiraCosta moves to 2-2-3 on the season.  The Spartans will next be in action on Friday at home against Norco College. Kickoff is at 4PM.
