For their last scheduled match of the year the MiraCosta men's soccer team traveled to the first place team in the conference, San Bernardino Valley College.  In their first match back on October 9th the Spartans gave the Wolverines everything they could handle and earned a 1-1 tie.  This match was also very competitive, a physical game that brought five cards including a red card to a San Bernardino Valley player in the 80th minute. The Wolverines out shot MiraCosta 23-16 but the Spartans had two sophomore forwards find the back of the net to secure the 2-1 victory, ending the season on a high note.

Goals were scored by Eddie Franco (35th minute) and Rafael Carneiro (84th minute). Both goals were unassisted.

The defense was anchored by goal keeper Andrew Clayton who had six saves despite giving up one goal.  Manuel Kariuki also contributed leadership in the back holding the potent Wolverine offense to just one goal.
