Another road trip for the Spartans brought them to Cal State University of Bakersfield to compete against the Roadrunners and Vanguard University. MiraCosta finished the day splitting results with a win against Vanguard (4-1) and a loss against Bakersfield (1-4).
Against Bakersfield Claudia Mathews and Michelle Mason were the lone pair to win their match. In the contest versus Vanguard the Spartans were dominant winning four of the five matches against the NAIA level four year university. MiraCosta won all flights except for the 1's.
MiraCosta improves their overall record to 4-2. The begin PCAC conference play on Friday March 16th against College of the Desert and San Diego City College. The matches will be played at the Civic Center Park in Palm Desert.
