To open their 2017 campaign the MiraCosta women's beach volleyball team dropped a close result (3-2) to four-year Concordia University and a convincing win (4-1) over Riverside City College. All losses to Concordia went to three games.
The Spartan roster features seven sophomores that return from a successful season in 2016. The experienced group is led by sophomore Cady Francis who was a member of the runner-up duo in the state championship.
MiraCosta will next see action at their home courts, Frazee Beach in Carlsbad California, on Friday March 3rd at 10am. MiraCosta will compete against LA Pierce College and Fullerton College.
