The men's rugby club at MiraCosta entered the Gold Coast Conference and immediately made a impression that will be hard to forget. The team is undefeated in conference play with a total 360 points scored and only 19 points scored against them. In addition, their overall record is 6-0. In the conference playoff the team overcame a slow first half to finish with a 40-17 victory over Occidental College. The win propels MiraCosta's rugby club to the Pacific Coast Championships and will travel to play in a regional tournament in Northern California. The first match will be played against CSU Monterey Bay on Saturday.
